Choosing Your Supplier

Here is a general checklist of what you should be looking for.

  1. Make sure the company gives you a 100% money-back guarantee on the lamp if you are not satisfied with the results or the customer service. There are a lot of poor quality gels and lights out there, and you want to be able to return the product if you are not satisfied. Most companies will NOT allow returns, and those that do usually charge a 20% restocking fee. Beaming White has a 7-day full money back guarantee on the Futura 2000 and the Futura 2400®.
  2. Make sure the company has a 2-year warranty on their lamp and preferably a lifetime warranty. We have a 2-year warranty on the Futura 2400®, which we extend indefinitely as long as you are buying an average of 10 kits per month per lamp. So basically if you are doing 10 treatments per month, you get a lifetime warranty on our light.
  3. Pay close attention to what the company tells you and make sure you rate and compare their pre-sales customer service. Most companies are not willing to spend the time to thoroughly answer all your questions and educate you about the industry. There’s a lot you need to know before getting started. You need to feel comfortable with your supplier and feel they will be there for you when you need them. Call us and you’ll see what we mean.
  4. Make sure that the company you are dealing with can ship your order in no more than a few days. Legitimate suppliers have inventory and can ship quickly.
  5. Beware of companies that don’t list their complete address on their website. These are usually one-person companies that work out of their home and don’t want you to see this. For example, there is a tiny company based out of San Jose, CA 95120 that is a one person company that works out of her home. How much support can a company like this provide you?
  6. Make sure the supplier is NOT in Asia or China in particular. If the company is in China, make sure it accepts credit cards. If they do not, that should be a red flag right there. If they ask you to send them the money up front, you have no recourse in the event of a dispute or if they don’t ship you what you ordered.
  7. Beware of any company that recommends carbamide peroxide gel for chair-side treatments. Carbamide peroxide was NOT designed for light-activated treatments and anyone offering it to you doesn’t know anything about the science behind teeth whitening. It gives very poor results during a 15-20 minute treatment because it needs more time to break down into hydrogen peroxide. Carbamide was made for long-term treatments such as take-home kits that you use over a long period of time or for overnight treatments, but not for chair-side treatments using a blue light because it takes a long time to get activated. If you are going to use carbamide, make sure that each treatment is at least 30 minutes and preferably 40 in order to get decent results. Also, make sure that the hydrogen peroxide you are getting is WATER-BASED (this means that over 50% of the gel is water-based, which avoids tooth sensitivity). Click here for information comparing Carbamide vs. Hydrogen Peroxide.
  8. Beware of any company that promises many shades of whitening in a single 15-20 minute treatment. This is generally NOT possible, unless a professional dental teeth whitening kit with a very high hydrogen peroxide concentration is used. Call us and we’ll explain to you why this is not possible.
  9. If you can, go and visit the company to see their office and warehouse. Make sure they have inventory – most teeth whitening companies are very small and do not carry much or any inventory and they just wait for you to pay for your order before they actually buy the lamp or kits to sell to you. If you come to our office, you’ll generally find around 100 lamps in stock and thousands of kits ready to ship.
  10. Make sure that the lamp is a real blue LED lamp. For example, there is a company selling a regular blue light bulb that you put in any lamp at home. This is NOT a teeth whitening lamp – it is a scam. Blue LED light is cold – a regular light bulb even if blue in color is going to emit light that can burn you. There are also companies offering white or red or other color LED lights – these don’t have the wavelength required to accelerate the whitening process and you’d just be wasting your money.
  11. In general, use your common sense and make sure you feel totally comfortable with your supplier.
