Before getting into this business, make sure you do a lot of research. Every teeth whitening company will tell you something different so it’s really difficult for someone who doesn’t have a dental background to know who is telling the truth. Whatever teeth whitening companies tell you, make sure you verify the information. This includes us — don’t take our word for it — put us to the test.

In particular, we want to warn you about a few very unscrupulous companies that will tell you anything to justify their exorbitant prices and separate you from as much of your money as they possibly can. One of these companies has created some very long, assertive documents containing a lot of false information aimed at convincing you that they are the ONLY possible choice. Ask them for proof about everything they claim, and you will see that they can prove very few of their claims, if any, and certainly none of the more important ones. Below we debunk some of the more important myths they have created and tell you the truth about many of their claims.

Myth / Claim: They are the ONLY ones that know how to comply with the law, and if you don’t buy from them you risk getting shut down.

Truth: This company and/or its dealers have received cease-and-desist orders or been shut down in different states, and the company itself has been served a cease-and-desist order by the state attorney general and subsequently closed ALL of their own kiosks in their home state. Not a single Beaming White dealer, distributor or customer has ever received a cease-and-desist order or has ever been shut down.

Myth / Claim: All their products are made in the USA. They even add on their website that “We could turn to China or other foreign countries to obtain our equipment - but that's not our style.”

Truth: Their bleaching lights are made in Taiwan, which is both a foreign country and part of China. We don’t understand how they can think they can get away with such a blatant lie. Until recently, they even had the name of the Taiwanese manufacturer on their website.

Myth / Claim: Carbamide peroxide is the choice of professionals.

Truth: When we read such nonsense we are not surprised the dental boards in some states are not happy with the cosmetic teeth whitening industry, and in particular with this company. Actually, dentists only use HYDROGEN peroxide for their chair-side / in-office treatments so saying that professionals only use carbamide peroxide is quite offensive for the dental community. Feel free to google Zoom and BriteSmile (which are the main brands used by dentists besides our own Pro Whitening Kit™ and you will see that they use hydrogen peroxide. You can also pick up the phone book and randomly call any dentist and ask them what they use for IN-OFFICE / CHAIR-SIDE bleaching. Dentists only offer carbamide peroxide for long-term HOME use because it takes a long time to break down, not when the gel is to be used with a teeth bleaching light for immediate results. Myth / Claim: They are the largest teeth whitening company in the US.

Truth:  We spend more money on advertising, exhibit at more trade shows, exhibit at dental trade shows in the US and internationally, have an international office in Europe (a real, company-owned office with employees as opposed to a distributor), sell more lamps than them every month, operate out of a 5,000 sqft facility (theirs is 4,500 according to their website, but it’s shared with their other company), but somehow they are the largest in the industry. All righty then.

Myth / Claim: They sell to dentists.

Truth: Sure, probably a few dentists have purchased equipment and maybe even kits from them, but most dentists would never consider using either carbamide peroxide or a mouth tray for an in-office treatment. Again, call any dentist at random to confirm this. Beaming White has an actual 35% hydrogen peroxide teeth bleaching kit that we only sell to dental professionals. If they sell to dentists, how come they have never exhibited at a dental trade show? They even have a dentist pitching their system on their website, but what they don’t tell you is that this dentist is on their board. What else is he supposed to say?

Myth / Claim:  They are the exclusive supplier to Sears / K-Mart stores in the US.

Truth: Beaming White is the preferred choice of Sears / K-Mart stores. Feel free to check with them.
